About me

I am a 22 year old web developer for a Dutch telecom company while I am also studying for a Bachelor IT training at the Open University in the Netherlands. I started this website / web-log because I enjoy sharing the things on my mind and the things I enjoy in life.

Developing websites is one of my favorite passions. It all started at school where we had to create a web-page for the first time. They taught  us how to create an HTML website in FrontPage (I know, don’t laugh… pretty embarrassing ha ha ).

After clicking buttons and changing properties for a while I began to feel bored with frontpage. From that moment on I knew that I liked to create websites. I started focusing on the real source of HTML to satisfy my interest. I "stole" HTML sources from the web and started adjusting them in Notepad. While doing that I learned a lot about the differences in browsers and HTML codes.

While surfing on the web searching for source codes which I needed for the things I wanted to create, I saw the name PHP quite often. At first I didn’t know what it was, so I searched the web for info on PHP. After reading about PHP I took a bigger interest in it as it seemed like the thing I was looking for all that time. After a few years I had increased my knowledge on PHP, MySQL, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript . At that moment I made the decision to apply for a job where in which I could earn my money while practicing my hobby at the same time.

Firstly because I did not have the right papers for a job as a web developer, i started the Masterclass PHP training from the company Eduvision. Things worked out very well. Currently i have a job as a web developer whereI can combine my hobby with my work and keep on learning more and more. I now know about PHP, MySQL, HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript (love prototype and scriptaculous ), Ajax, UML (2.0) and probably some more where I can’t come up now. And I am still liking it!

Another passion/ hobby of mine is fireworks, visiting hardstyle / hardcore dance events and having fun with my girlfriend and friends.

Well this is probably not everything about me. But when i know some more to place here i will do it a.s.a.p.
