X-Qlusive Showtek

X-Qlusive Showtek

Saturday the 26th of January 2008, I went to X-Qlusive Showtek in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. XQ Showtek is an hardstyle dance event organized by Q-dance. Q-dance organizes an X-Qlusive event every year with other DJ’s. This time Showtek was asked to be the X-Qlusive appearance. Well, Showtek is one of my favourite hardstyle duo’s so I had to be there!

Here you can find some more photos.

I went with two friends, Lukas and Fabian. I had muscular pains from the night before, I went laser gaming with my work in Amsterdam and made a strange move so I thought it would be painful dancing all night. Once we were in we dumped our jackets and took a big Heineken beer. The big hall wasn’t opened yet so we went to the Rabolounge, this is a smaller area on the second floor of the building. Brennan Heart was presenting his music there so this was a very good start of the evening!

After a while the Black Box (the bigger) area had opened his doors. Pascal Feliz was the first DJ in the line-up. The music had nothing to do with hardstyle music at all so we took some more beers and made a little chat and fun. At 23:30 I was starting to feel a bit drunk, I think it was the lame music which did that  At 00:00 the introduction of Showtek began. Hundreds of green and blue lasers where coming up with a nice story about Showtek, the goose bumps came up and my adrenaline was getting a shot, the energy I got was about to explode!

Showtek intro

After the introduction the party started with some calm hardstyle, everyone began to dance and I was enjoying it allot. The muscular pains where still there but I didn’t give a shit  At 01:00 we went to the Rabolounge because of the Noisecontrollers, also one of my favourites who are doing it very well last year  While dancing I had a little chat with someone about the Noisecontrollers and we were predicting witch songs they were going to play and with 3 out of the 5 we had it right  I was going loose on the song “Crump”  and “Reverse Anthem”

After the Noisecontrollers we went back to the Black Box, I bought a crazy hat, too much beer I guess. While dancing and stamping on the floor I didn’t have a feeling of time  After a while at 06:00 DJ Tha Playa came and started with some great Hardcore, so it was time for the gabber dance  Well, I can tell you that I don’t have to visit the gym the coming month :P I didn’t stand still at any moment, even when ordering the drinks I was dancing at the bar  If you have the chance to visit a party like this I would like to recommend it to you. You can’t compare a party like this with a disco or something like that
